........I attended Maroubra Bay High School.It had been opened in March, 1959 and, along with a lot of other boys, I was transferred there and joined the other students.
The big attraction! .....This was a co-educational high school and, in 1959, in Year 1 (only) there were girls!
We're all going to meet up again, March 7th, 2009, in the Shannon Room, AJC, Randwick, for a reunion, 50 years after the school was officially opened.
(It has long since closed {1990} and disappeared, after a short few minutes of fame as the first setting for Heartbreak High.
